We are looking for a new team member to join us as our Infrastructure Operations Manager.
Working hours: 35 hours / Monday–Friday
Location: This is a hybrid role based at our Southeast hub in Horsham, West Sussex. Hybrid working isn't a tick-box exercise for us – we live our values. For this role, we anticipate 2 days per week on site, with flexibility around operational needs and your personal working style.

No two days are the same at the RSPCA. As Infrastructure Operations Manager, your role is key in keeping our IT systems robust, secure and running smoothly. A typical day might include:
- Technical Leadership:providing technical leadership to the team managing our infrastructure platforms. Infrastructure Oversight: Plan, maintain, and monitor the performance of cloud services and network infrastructure.
- Incident Management: Manage incident and problem resolution, including conducting root cause analysis.
- Collaboration & Implementation: Work closely with service teams, suppliers, and project managers to implement changes and improvements to the infrastructure estate.
- Documentation & Compliance: Ensure documentation is up-to-date and operations align with best practices and compliance standards for daily operations and disaster recovery.
- Change & Release Management: Contribute to change and release management processes.
- Operational Readiness: Ensure new technology rollouts are operationally ready.
- IT Support: Participate in the IT support weekend rota.

You're a confident and collaborative technical leader with experience managing infrastructure services in a complex, hybrid IT environment. You'll also bring:
- Extensive experience in 3rd line infrastructure support.
- Exceptional troubleshooting and analytical capabilities.
- Proven expertise in leading and mentoring IT support teams.
- Broad knowledge of infrastructure technologies, including Google Workspace and Cloud Platforms (GCP), LAN/WAN and wireless technologies, and Microsoft client and server solutions.
- A strong grasp of IT service management and operational processes, such as ITIL.
- The ability to work independently and flexibly, while cultivating strong stakeholder relationships.
- A commitment to continuous improvement, consistently seeking opportunities to enhance performance and resilience.
