Maintenance Worker (2034)
Are you a skilled Maintenance Worker with time to spare for one of the region's leading animal rehabilitation and rehoming facilities?
We are looking for someone to help us with planned routine maintenance work, as well as reactive repairs to help ensure a high standard of health and safety at the centre. The centre occupies a site of approx 20 acres, and the role includes a large amount of ground maintenance.
Hours: You will work 21 hours and this is split Monday - Wednesday 08:30 - 16:30
Interview dates: 12th & 13th March
- Garden and grounds maintenance, on a large scale.
- Undertake regular safety compliance checks and recordkeeping
- Management of external contractors
- General cleaning duties of communal areas, including emptying dog waste bins
- .Basic plumbing and carpentry
- Repairs, redecoration and clearance

- Experience in a maintenance/handyperson/grounds role
- Experience of use of a wide range of hand and power tools and the maintenance of these.
- Ability to prioritise your work.
- Basic computer skills
- A full valid driving license
Successful candidates for certain RSPCA roles will need to undergo a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
