We are currently recruiting a Casual Maintenance Worker to join us at our East Winch Wildlife Centre on a 0 hour contract to assist with the general maintenance of our centre.
East Winch Wildlife Centre is one of four RSPCA wildlife centres based in England that supports the rehabilitation of sick, injured, orphaned and confiscated wildlife.

- Working hours - 0 Hour Casual Position - When required to attend for general maintenance. this could vary depending on demands and does not guarantee consistent attendance.
Are you ready to join our movement?
We are ideally looking for an individual who iis flexible in attending our centre when necessary. Experience within manual labour such as Plumbing, Electrics & general repairs would be ideal.
If you have any of the relevant experience below we would love to hear from you!
- Experience in manual labour plumbing, electrics & general maintenance.
- Good knowledge and awareness of health and safety.
- Routine maintenance and repairs to buildings and animal accommodations;
- Emergency fire alarm testing
- Security alarms
- Basic check on vehicles (lights, tyres) - Small amount of gardening
- Maintaining site and grounds

We are looking for a proactive and friendly person who is able to effectively plan their daily workload and has good verbal and written communication skills. Our ideal candidate also has:
- Health and safety knowledge - we have regular site inspections checks
- Flexible and able to attend our centre when required.
- Proven experience in a maintenance or grounds role
- Good diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Experience of a wide range of power tools, ride on mowers, tractors and land management equipment
- A full driving licence
Successful candidates for certain RSPCA roles will need to undergo a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
