Marketing Executive - Donor Recruitment (2579)
Do you want to help create a better world for animals? At the RSPCA, we believe animal welfare is everyone's welfare. Join us in creating a better world for every animal. We can do it if we work together, everyone for every animal.
We are looking for a Marketing Executive to join our Donor Recruitment team. The fundraising team responsible for bringing new donors on board to support the vital animal welfare work of the RSPCA. This is also a fantastic role for a passionate marketer to develop their skills across a wide range of media, with excellent opportunities for professional development.
We recognise that the world of work has changed and we are embracing that change. We therefore provide a highly flexible framework to meet our present and future needs.
- Working hours: 35 hours / Mon - Friday.
- Hybrid role: The role will be hybrid, working from home and our office hubs. Our South East Regional Hub (Horsham West Sussex) and our London Hub (Blackfriars). An average month would require approximately 4 visits into the office.
- Core hours are between 10.00am to 3.00pm, Monday to Friday, allowing for a start between 8.00am - 10.00am and finish between 3.00pm - 6.00pm. You may vary the number of hours worked on each working day as long as the 35 hour working week is fulfilled over 5 working days.
- Online interviews will take place w/c 13th October.
Within this framework how you work is a matter for yourself and your team to determine to meet your personal and team commitments and the needs of the organisation.
We think this role's going to be popular and are expecting to attract high interest so we strongly encourage early applications to avoid missing out - closing date is 3rd October.
You'll be responsible for recruiting new donors by managing marketing campaigns via direct response TV (DRTV) and other paid media channels. This includes media planning and analysis, content development, and developing donation journeys (online and offline) that drive conversion, and deliver a positive donor experience.
DRTV knowledge is helpful but not essential – transferable marketing skills, a drive to learn and passion for fundraising matter most.
What you'll be doing:
- Work collaboratively with creative partners to develop new TV adverts, including briefing, providing feedback on creative concepts, and engaging key RSPCA stakeholders throughout the process.
- Partner with media agencies to plan, deliver, and optimise campaigns across channels, ensuring activity runs to agreed budgets, targets, and timelines.
- Develop and optimise online and offline supporter donation journeys, continually looking for opportunities to improve conversion and supporter experience.
- Produce and present campaign performance reports, including detailed evaluations using CRM data, supplier reports, and wider industry insights.
- Manage all operational aspects of campaigns, including CRM data workflows, supplier setup processes, purchase orders, invoicing, and spend tracking.
- Build strong, collaborative relationships with Donor Recruitment colleagues, wider RSPCA teams, and external partners to ensure seamless delivery.
- Stay up to date with sector trends and developments, proactively sharing knowledge and insights with the Donor Recruitment and Donor Development teams.
You'll have a flexible approach to work and will be passionate about delivering high quality outcomes. You'll have strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to work on your own initiative.
You'll share our values of being compassionate, inspirational, committed, expert and act with integrity. In addition you'll have:
- Previous experience of supporter/customer acquisition marketing or fundraising
- Proven project /campaign management
- Excellent working knowledge of Excel and Word
- Numerate and able to interpret data sets
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to develop strong working relationships with stakeholders
- Ability to prioritise own workload and deliver to deadlines
- Highly organised with the ability to work under pressure
Successful candidates for certain RSPCA roles will need to undergo a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
Applicants must have the legal right to work in the UK - We are unable to sponsor visas at RSPCA
We want to ensure we do all we can to give you a positive candidate experience through our recruitment. Whilst we do try to give feedback where we can, sometimes due to receiving high levels of applications, this may not always be possible
We are building the future of a diverse Society, and our priority is to support animal welfare by finding people from all backgrounds who are committed to our mission. For this reason we actively encourage a wide diversity of applications - in particular from members of minority ethnic groups, and people with disabilities - as these candidates are currently under-represented at the RSPCA. Your transferable skills & lived experiences could make you a valuable addition to our RSPCA Family!
