Are you an analytical thinker who loves driving results? Are you data-driven, with a proven track record of launching large-scale digital marketing campaigns across paid media channels? If so, we are looking for a Marketing Manager to join our Donor Recruitment team.
Reporting to the Senior Marketing Manager - Donor Recruitment, the Marketing Manager will be managing and delivering large-scale digital marketing campaigns that drive donor acquisition and new income. You will be responsible for recruiting new donors to the RSPCA, primarily through managing, delivering and optimising the performance of our paid digital marketing channels.
- Permanent contract.
- Working hours: 35 hours - Monday to Friday.
- Hybrid role: You will work from home and also from either the London and Horsham offices. Hybrid working isn't a tick exercise for us - we live the values, expectation for this role will be 3 - 4 days per month, and this is open to flex around you and the operation.
As a Marketing Manager - Donor Recruitment, you will play a critical role in delivering large-scale digital marketing campaigns that drive donor acquisition and new income across our paid media channels.
Your primary responsibility is to contribute to the strategic and tactical planning and delivery of digital donor acquisition activities in line with the annual operational plan that is set by the Senior Marketing Manager. This includes overseeing Marketing Executives who are responsible for the day-to-day running of donor acquisition campaigns to ensure annual donor acquisition volume and income targets are met.
This is a data-driven, fast-paced and performance-driven role, requiring a strategic thinker with the ability to execute tactical and measurable results. You'll have an eye for detail and a proactive approach to campaign planning, set-up, monitoring and performance.
Key responsibilities:
- Managing digital donor acquisition campaigns: You'll work with our media partner to plan and deliver paid media for our digital channels (Meta, YouTube, Demand Gen, Performance Max, PPC, Microsoft Audience Network etc).
- Data-driven decision making: Track, analyse, and optimise campaign performance using analytics tools. Using data to analyse performance, make recommendations, identify trends, and optimise to meet KPIs.
- Executing strong storytelling: Working with creative partners to develop compelling creative that resonates with our target audiences across various paid digital channels. From briefing through to execution, engaging RSPCA stakeholders in the process.
- Budget Management: Managing campaign budgets and monitoring campaign performance, ensuring KPI's are achieved for income, donor acquisition and expenditure.
To be successful in the role, you will bring strong digital marketing experience with a background in managing the delivery, execution and performance of large-scale digital acquisition campaigns across multiple channels.
You must be able to demonstrate extensive experience managing conversion/performance-focused digital acquisition campaigns, along with:
- Proven experience in digital direct response acquisition marketing, with a demonstrable track record of launching successful, large-scale, results-driven campaigns (client or agency side).
- Performance and data-driven: Proficiency with analytics tools, working with data, and analysing trends and results, while simultaneously optimising to deliver KPIs. A strong data-driven first approach to decision-making, with exceptional data analysis skills and KPI management.
- Tracking & analytics: Experienced in using Google and/or other analytics tools, dashboards and reports, with the ability to analyse, identify and recommend actionable insights. Expert knowledge of digital campaign set-up (i.e pixels, UTM parameters).
- Project management: Comfortable managing multiple, sometimes competing priorities. Effective problem-solving skills, with a proactive and tenacious approach to meeting deadlines.
- A flair for digital creative: A successful track record of developing digital creative to drive sales and/or income. You'll have the ability to build strong storytelling that resonates with our audiences.
- Stakeholder management: Exceptional stakeholder management and engagement skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels and across departments.
- Attention to detail: A keen eye for the detail, as well as the bigger picture.
- Excellent communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt to different audiences.
- An agile mindset: Thriving in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and comfortable with ambiguity.
- A team player: A collaborative spirit and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Line management experience: Experience managing direct reports with the day-to-day delivery of digital acquisition campaigns, overseeing activity to ensure timely and effective delivery, with the ability to provide training and manage performance output.
Desirable Skills/Experience you may have:
- Experience managing digital acquisition activity for a not-for-profit organisation.
- Experience managing organisation-wide integrated digital campaigns.
