We are looking for a Mass Participation Manager to join our Public Fundraising & Mass Engagement on a full-time, permanent basis. 

  • Working hours: 35 hours / Mon - Friday. 
  • Hybrid role: Your base will be at Horsham West Sussex with a high focus on remote working. There is an expectation to visit either our Horsham or London Hub twice a month for team collaboration. 

It's important to us that you feel part of our team from the start. We like to keep in touch with regular check-ins and team meetings. There's always a teammate around for support or a quick chat.

What a day might look like for you

Here at RSPCA we know it's a cliche but no two days are the same, Mass Participation Manager we've added a summary of what a typical day might look like, for a full insight please refer to the attached job description.

You will play a key role in delivering and maximising our current mass participation products such as One Fun Day and Walk on the Wild Side . As well as creating and trialing new and exciting concepts that we can potentially roll out to continue to grow our important and essential fundraising remit. With this you'll be responsible for creating high-quality, brand-aligned marketing materials that effectively promote our events

This role requires you to have great stakeholder management skills with a variety of internal and external relationships. With a high focus of these being with our data and insights teams, you'll leverage analytics, audience segmentation, and reporting to enhance overall marketing impact. Alongside this there will be a close partnership with the digital media team will be essential to promote events across online platforms and ensure donation tools are fully integrated for a seamless supporter experience. 

Additionally, you'll play a key role in nurturing relationships with Mass Participation supporters, fostering positive engagement and long-term loyalty.

What makes a great Mass Participation Manager?
  • Project managing successful mass participation events or high-level marketing campaigns
  • Managing relationships with external agencies, displaying negotiation and diplomacy skills
  • Preparing and managing budgets
  • Planning, implementing and evaluating marketing strategies for a variety of events.
  • Developing, implementing, and monitoring comprehensive supporter communication journeys and plans
  • Managing event day logistics
  • Volunteer Recruitment and Management 
  • Fundraising Databases
  • Campaign evaluation and analysis
  • data protection legislation
  • Applying brand guidelines consistently across a variety of channels and products

Successful candidates for certain RSPCA roles will need to undergo a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
