We are looking for a new team member as an Operational Partnerships Support Officer to join the Operational and Food Banks Partnerships team. You will provide administrative support and oversight, enabling consistency in our partnership processes and engagement with our partners.
The Operational Partnerships team is responsible for governance and oversight of partnership working within the Operations directorate. The Pet Food Bank Partnership team sits firmly within our Early Help & Support prevention activity, with a focus on providing targeted support to specific communities and populations.
- Working hours: 35 hours / Monday to Friday. (We are also open to flexible and part-time hours to fit around your personal commitments)
- Homebased role: your base will be at home. You will be required to attend occasional team meetings throughout the year.

As the Operational Partnership Support Officer, you will be responsible for supporting the Head of Operational and Food Bank Partnerships, Senior Operational Partnerships Manager, Operational Partnerships Manager, Pet Food Bank National Lead and the Food Bank Coordinators by establishing and delivering consistent administrative duties (routine and ad hoc) including, but not limited to, internal & external inquiries, reporting, database management, complaints, event planning and support.
The role will act as the primary point of contact for administrative inquiries to the department where you will be involved in supporting the effectiveness of running the Operational Partnerships and Pet Food Banks teams. This will also include the following;
- Completing the day-to-day administrative tasks.
- Delegated inbox management.
- Be the first point of contact for, and manage general enquiries.
- Be the first point of contact for, and manage, Society/interdepartmental enquiries.
- Prepare team meetings and take minutes in meetings as required.
- Prepare and coordinate training events.
- Oversee the Partnership's onboarding processes.
- Monitor and support purchase orders to maintain flow of invoices and payments.
- Provide project administrative support.
- Maintain the departmental database.
- Understanding of good administration practices.
- Organises and prioritises work, with a clear readiness to focus on delivery, looking to improve on status quo and willingness to deal with difficult situations that affect output, whatever the organisational level of the role.
- Ensures that quality and productivity standards are met.
- Recognises the value of sharing ideas, knowledge and information with others and takes personal responsibility for doing so.
- Speaks clearly, fluently and in a compelling manner. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written).
- Successfully adapts to changing demands and conditions. Maintains effective work behaviour in the face of setbacks or pressure
- Understanding and demonstrable experience of good administrative practice, including secretariat and minute taking
- Proven analytical, problem solving and organisational skills
- Strong administrative and prioritisation skills
- Use of Google information systems.
Successful candidates for certain RSPCA roles will need to undergo a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
