Prosecution Support Administrator (2229)
Do you want to help create a better world for animals? At the RSPCA, we believe animal welfare is everyone's welfare. Join us in creating a better world for every animal. We can do it if we work together, everyone for every animal.
Choose a career with us and make a difference.
We are looking for a team member to join us as a Prosecution Support Administrator on a full-time or part time basis!
- Working hours: 35 hours / Mon - Friday. (We are open to hearing from candidates who are looking for part-time work too)
- Hybrid role: You will be based at our Horsham, West Sussex hub with an expectation to come into the office 2 days per week. The remainder of the week will be worked at home, the needs and expectations of this may change due to the nature of the role.
Due to the nature of the role, we will require the successful candidate to regularly attend the office, as required, for the first month for training purposes.
Interviews are set to take place face to face at our Horsham office, W/C Monday 9th June 2025.
It's important to us that you feel part of our team from the start. We like to keep in touch with regular check-ins and team meetings. There's always a teammate around for support or a quick chat.
Are you ready to join our movement?
Please note - Due to the nature of this role, you will be subject to viewing, reading, and hearing details of animal neglect and cruelty on a daily basis. This can include being exposed to distressing and graphic imagery of animal cruelty.
You'll be self motivated and play a vital part in the team, providing hands-on administrative support for the delivery of our prosecution function. Your day will see you processing invoices, entering data into our various systems, assisting with digital archives, and tackling general admin like post and preparing trial bundles, including typing and audio typing.
Working independently within guidelines, you'll expertly balance your workload, prioritising tasks whilst ensuring absolute accuracy and compliance with data protection and strict court deadlines.
We think this is a great role and to add value we are seeking a match of these skills, but don't worry if you don't tick every box, we'd still love to hear from you.
- Experience of organisational and administrative skills (either personal or work related)
- Interpersonal written and verbal communication skills
- Understanding of IT including audio typing skills
Desirable:
- Experience of working within the requirements of the Data Protection Act 1998 (or successor legislation) and the legal constraints that apply to handling highly confidential and sensitive information.
- Knowledge/experience of Google Workspace
- Experience of organisational and administrative skills in the workplace
Successful candidates for certain RSPCA roles will need to undergo a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
Applicants must have the legal right to work in the UK - We are unable to sponsor visas at RSPCA
Due to high interest in some of our roles, we review applications as they are received. This can occasionally result in positions closing earlier than advertised. Therefore, we strongly recommend submitting applications early. Unfortunately, we are unable to accept applications after the posted closing date.
We want to ensure we do all we can to give you a positive candidate experience through our recruitment. Whilst we do try to give feedback where we can, sometimes due to receiving high levels of applications, this may not always be possible
We are building the future of a diverse Society, and our priority is to support animal welfare by finding people from all backgrounds who are committed to our mission. For this reason we actively encourage a wide diversity of applications - in particular from members of minority ethnic groups, and people with disabilities - as these candidates are currently under-represented at the RSPCA. Your transferable skills & lived experiences could make you a valuable addition to our RSPCA Family!
Should you need any support with your application or interview process please contact resourcingteam@rspca.org.uk / 0300 123 0685.
