Technical Project Manager (2012)

We are looking for a new team member as a Technical Project Manager to join us on a 24 month fixed term contract where you will work closely with the IT teams, developing and maintaining detailed project plans, risk logs and stakeholder engagement plans to ensure they align with other dependent activities across the Society.
- Working hours: 35 hours / Monday to Friday.
- 24 Month Fixed term contract.
- Hybrid role: your base will be at Horsham, West Sussex. Hybrid working isn't just a tick box exercise for us, we live the values. For this role, the expected commitment is 1 day per week in our Horsham office. We're open to accommodating a flexible schedule that suits you, and our operational needs.
Are you ready to join our movement?
As the Technical Project Manager you will be responsible for the delivery of application and infrastructure technology led projects and will matrix manage technology team members ensuring their valuable time and skills are efficiently utilised. You will be responsible for identifying and making decisions regarding mitigation of project risks balancing time, money, scope and quality to best deliver the agreed outcomes of the project.
Projects may have significant budgets in which you will be expected to manage the project finances and other resources to safeguard against unexpected or unnecessary spend.
- To deliver a variety of small to medium sized technology-led projects, either solely or concurrently depending on size and complexity.
- To identify resources required and direct work in a structured and collaborative way to ensure stakeholders and subject matter experts are appropriately engaged in the projects under their responsibility.
- To ensure an agreed project methodology is consistently used so that tasks, dependencies, risks budgets and communication plans all support effective delivery.
- Experience of Salesforce CRM would be an advantage
- Experience of Data Migration projects would be an advantage
- Good understanding of Enterprise and Data architecture principles
- Good understanding of service-oriented architecture (SOA)
- Understanding of ITIL and Service Management principles
- Demonstrable ability to create technical project documents
- Proven ability to implement and follow control procedures
- Proven problem solving capabilities
- Proven ability to communicate with technical resources at their level
- Ability to interpret and translate detailed technical information into business language
Successful candidates for certain RSPCA roles will need to undergo a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
