Veterinary Nurse (1741)
We are looking for a new Casual Veterinary Nurse at our East Winch Wildlife Centre (Norfolk) who is enthusiastic about wildlife conservation, enjoys hands-on work with animals, and is dedicated to making a difference in the lives of British wildlife. This is a casual, zero-hour position to cover shifts when staff are on leave. We are unable to guarantee, nor do we expect you to work, set hours or days.

- Emergency and critical care nursing, including primary triage;
- Provide direct medical and surgical patient care;
- Maintain up to date and accurate clinical records;
- Dispense drugs in accordance with professional guidelines clinic rules;
- Maintaining a high level of clinical hygiene and biosecurity throughout the hospital;
- Anaesthetic monitoring, perioperative nursing care and theatre practice working in a busy and modern operating theatre suite;
- Undertake continuing professional and personal development associated with the role;
- Welfare and case work support.
Essential:
- RVN: Current registration with RCVS (preceded by prerequisite of degree or diploma in veterinary nursing);
- Previous experience of working in relevant discipline (Veterinary Practice, Wildlife Rehabilitation, Animal Centre).
Desirable:
- Experience working with wildlife.
This role will include humanely euthanising some wild animals when necessary, so it is important that you are comfortable undertaking this.The successful applicant will be required to undergo a Discl
