We are looking for a Philanthropy Coordinator to join our team.

• Working hours: 35 hours, which can be worked flexibly across Monday - Friday.
• Contract: 3 year fixed term contract, with the potential to go permanent.
• Home based: For this role, we require the post holder to be based in the North West of England. The majority of the work is carried out in the region, so the successful candidate must be able to attend meetings and other work activities in person as required. You will also work from home and will travel to the London office and occasionally the Horsham office, as required. You will also be required to travel to events and meetings with key stakeholders as and when necessary. 

The RSPCA aims to work with partners to transform animal welfare in the North, including building a new regional animal welfare centre. Following a comprehensive fundraising feasibility study, we have identified significant untapped potential and high-value prospects within our existing and expanding networks in the North of England.

As Philanthropy Coordinator, you will provide essential day-to-day support to the Philanthropy team, helping to ensure that our fundraising activity is well organised, our records are accurate and our supporters receive an excellent experience.

Working closely with the Philanthropy Manager and Philanthropy Lead, you will support the team across the full donor journey, from identifying and researching prospective supporters through to cultivation, stewardship and ongoing relationship management.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who is highly organised, enjoys working with people and is looking to develop a career in philanthropy, fundraising or relationship management.

You will play a key role in supporting the delivery of our capital campaign in the North West.

As Philanthropy Coordinator, you will provide day-to-day administrative and coordination support to the Philanthropy team, helping to ensure that activity is well organised, deadlines are met and opportunities are followed up.

You will support the team with maintaining accurate and up-to-date records on the CRM and helping to identify individuals and organisations who may have an interest in supporting the RSPCA.

You will coordinate meetings, calls and events with supporters and prospective donors, preparing meeting information and ensuring that follow-up actions are recorded and completed.

To succeed in this role, you should have a real passion for animal welfare and making a positive impact for animals.

You do not have to be a philanthropy fundraiser; you could have a background in administration, fundraising, customer service, marketing, communication or another role which involves working with people and managing multiple tasks.

Our Philanthropy Coordinator should have:

• Excellent organisational and administrative skills, with strong attention to detail
• The ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines and prioritise effectively
• Good IT skills and confidence using Microsoft Office or similar software
• Experience of using databases or CRM systems, or the ability to learn new systems quickly
• Experience of working proactively and using initiative to identify what needs to be done and taking ownership of tasks.
• The ability to work independently while also being an effective member of the team

Successful candidates for certain RSPCA roles will need to undergo a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.

This will be a 2 stage interview process, with the first stage interviews taking place remotely on the 5th of October. Second stage interviews will be held in person on the 12th of October.
