A bit About us

We are looking for a new team member to join RSPCA Assured, as a Content Production Executive, where you will work closely with the Senior Social Media Manager.

This isn't a desk job; it's a hands-on, end-to-end production position, where you will help to translate complex farmed animal welfare standards and issues into compelling visual stories.

You will also have an exciting opportunity to work on developing and launching our brand new TikTok channel.

  • Contract: Permanent
  • Working hours: 35 hours per week.
  • Location Hybrid role: You will spend your time either working from home or out on a shoot. Every Wednesday, the team meets at the Horsham hub. While we love seeing everyone in person, we pride ourselves on offering flexible work options.
  • You will also be required to travel to gather content, sometimes at short notice.
  • A full UK driving licence is required for this role.
What a day might look like for you

From short-form TikToks and Reels to long-form educational videos and high-quality photography, you will be the creative engine driving our digital presence.

You won't just be following a brief; you'll be creating it.

Working closely with the Senior Social Media Manager, you will have the autonomy to:

  • Lead Production: You will plan, film and edit multimedia content that resonates with our audience.
  • Be the Director: You will take ownership of on-site shoots; managing lighting, sound and directing contributors.
  • Stay Ahead of the Curve - You will monitor social trends and platform updates to ensure our content is always fresh and engaging.
  • Manage Assets: You will oversee our media library and collaborate with external photographers and agencies.
What you'll bring:

For this role, we are looking for someone who lives and breathes digital content.

To succeed within this challenging and varied role, you must be:

  • An active user of social media in your own time. You know what's trending, you understand why things go viral, and you have the technical skills to replicate that success for our brand.
  • A pro with industry-standard editing software (be it Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut, Avid, or even CapCut).
  • Highly Adaptable and willing to travel. You thrive on spontaneity and are willing and able to travel at the drop of a hat; perhaps joining an assessor on the road or on farm for a last-minute opportunity to capture vital footage.
  • A Proven Creator: You have experience and a portfolio that showcases your eye for detail and your storytelling ability.
  • A full UK Driving license.

If this sounds like the ideal next step in your creative career, please apply today!

Successful candidates for certain RSPCA roles will need to undergo a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.

Applicants must have the legal right to work in the UK - We are unable to sponsor visas at RSPCA

Final note from us & good luck with your application!

First stage interviews will be held remotely on the 27th and 28th of May, with second stage interviews taking place in person on the 3rd of June, in our Horsham hub.

We want to ensure we do all we can to give you a positive candidate experience through our recruitment. Whilst we do try to give feedback where we can, sometimes due to receiving high levels of applications, this may not always be possible

Our vision is a world where all animals are respected and treated with kindness and compassion. Our purpose is to inspire everyone to create a better world for animals. We are building the future of a diverse Society, and our priority is to support animal welfare by finding people from all backgrounds who are committed  to our purpose.  For this reason we actively encourage a wide diversity of applications - in particular from members of minority ethnic groups, and people with disabilities - as these candidates are currently under-represented at the RSPCA. Your transferable skills & lived experiences could make you a valuable addition to our RSPCA Family!

We're here to support you and encourage you to let us know if you need any adjustments at any stage of the recruitment process. Please feel free to contact us at resourcingteam@rspca.org.uk or 0300 123 0685 so we can ensure the process works for you.
